No Save As ... .xlsx is available in current releases of OpenOffice.org. It is not clear when that might change.

LibreOffice, <http://www.libreoffice.org/>, does support export to OOXML (.docx, .xslx, .pptx) formats. I don't know what the quality of the conversions is. They tend to be a work in progress.

Hi!

Just save as an .xsl file. Office 2007 understands them as well.
